Hi,
I’m Luana, I arrived in Malta on 14th April 2015. First I attended an English course at Inlingua for one week, and after I started working as an intern, so I had the opportunity to see Inlingua Malta from many various angles.
My English course at Inlingua Malta unfortunately was too short, I would preferred to have attended a course for a longer period of time. I liked my trainer May a lot, she was very experienced, patient and at the same time very sweet.
At the end of my English course I received a call from my tutor Marco and he informed me about my internship will be at Inlingua Malta the next day. I was extremely happy with this good news. From the 23th of April, I started my Internship with the company and was really impressed with the kindness and availability of the staff. I noticed that everyone within the company loved their job and great focus on their mission.
The tutor assigned for my internship was Anthony, a very smart man. He gave us a full induction to the company, its mission and policies. he was also our co-coordinator and delegated various tasks and duties.
There was a lot of work to do on a daily basis and I also noticed that there was good team work and a very well-organised collaboration between departments. They gave a lot of attention to detail and nothing to chance.
Some of the tasks I was assigned were Database entries, logistics and coordination of students, Activity programme updates, Social Media and website maintenance (Digital Marketing duties) and administrative duties.
Malta has been rather generous with me as I expected a fraction of what I found when discovering the island. The beauty, the story and history, the landscapes, the cultural mix, the warm Maltese people, the quaint & calm villages and the crazy nightlife in Paceville. So many friends I made along the way… so many I forgot!!
The highlights of my trip will still remain Marsaxlokk (the Traditional Fishing Village), Mdina (the City on the hill), Gozo and the beautiful Blue Lagoon in Comino. Will definitely miss Malta when I leave.
“I will be back!!”, sounds like a Schwarzenegger quote out of a movie but I leave a part of me behind here in Malta (and with inlingua) and will definitely come and visit sometime in the future.
Would like to thanks all the staff at inlingua and wish them all the best for summer.
Luana Greco.
